It was the perfect spring day for a styled shoot at the beautiful Chateau Adare wedding venue in Murrieta. The theme was Alice in Wonderland. We were asked to provide the tableware for this shoot and jumped at the chance. Alice in Wonderland has always been one of our favorite story books.
This shoot was featured in Bridal Musings
Bridal Suite Portraits
Some of our favorite shots at a styled shoot at Chateau Adare are ones taken in the bridal suite. The bridal suite is mostly white and has the perfect light shining through the windows. We provided the vintage furniture to decorate the room. This model really was the perfect choice to emulate Alice in Wonderland.
Wedding Props and Decor
It was fun to see the different props and decorations the stylist chose to bring out the Alice in Wonderland theme. These vintage story books were just some of the details used that day and they were absolutely darling.
Wedding Paper Flowers
One of the most stunning sights at the shoot were these amazing hand crafted, giant, pink and white, peonies made by Le Petit Jardin. The ladies who created them placed them beautifully on the large wooden arch in the tea garden at the venue. Normally the arch is covered in Wisteria, but as it was not in bloom yet these paper flowers were a fantastic replacement.
Wedding Cakes and Floral Treatments
Wedding cakes and wedding florals are always some of our favorite items. No matter how many weddings, parties, or just styled shoots we participate in, there is always something magical about these two elements. There were three wedding cakes featured in this styled shoot. One wedding cake was simply decorated with the florals that were used in the brides bouquet, tying them both together so nicely. The second wedding cake had a pink flare with three dimensional flowers sculpted on the actual cake. The third cake had florals painted on it. All were perfect for the theme. The bridal bouquet was made with ranunculus and roses and was tied together with handmade ribbon. The florals used on the tables and arch were light and airy, if you look close you can even see a nest with eggs in it.
Wedding Table Top Decor
We chose mismatched patterns of both Johnson Brothers and Staffordshire China because of its whimsical style. We added mismatched amber goblets and vintage silverware to frame the beautiful china plates. The tables that were used were country chic farm tables with mismatched chairs. It was light and magical, perfect for Alice in Wonderland.
Wedding Lounge Area
The lounge area was styled with a French touch. It had pastels, golds, and lots of china all set for a mock tea party. There were hand decorated sugar cookies depicting the items you might see in Alices adventures. There were so many unique details used in this shoot we had to look closely to take it all in.
We just wanted to thank all those wonderful vendors who worked so hard to bring this vision of Alice in Wonderland to a reality. It was a really fun group to work with. Hope you enjoyed this sampling of photos.
